What the Dead Say

I am nowhere now
remember me

already on my way back

Why?

Because I came from the earth?

Because every thing alive
except stones
must die, and only stones know
their fate,

because the bubble that begins life
surfaces and divides
how we all begin, I have heard
tell

I go into fire
where no water pours
forth, and air
is left at the door

Now I know where
nowhere starts
