Lights flicker as ever before the wrath
takes over earth.
Wind lashed the hair of graves that would open
under God’s wand.
So I was told as you were, as we are,
where the storms batter
down sparrows, crows and ravens, eagles’ wings
shredded, falling
into the roar of silence that is death’s
aftermath. Who leaves
this life knows they will never awaken
to love again.
The waves of the world’s oceans flood over
the earth’s waters.
